Dr. Matthew Lappenga

Dr. Lappenga was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. While studying at Hope College he enjoyed running varsity on the Cross Country and Track teams. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hope College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Lappenga was valedictorian of his class and he graduated Summa Cum Laude from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed three years of training in a Podiatric Surgery Residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, by the shores of the beautiful Mississippi River. He returned to Holland where he is very happy to be raising his family.

Dr. Lappenga joined Holland Foot & Ankle in 2006, where he thoroughly enjoys caring for our community in all aspects of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Lappenga is Board Certified in foot surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Lappenga offers appointments at our Holland North and Allegan locations.
